Words are just another way of painting
an image. Sometimes they conjure obscure and surrealistic
thoughts and pictures in our brains, which is a pretty
amazing experience, and one that makes me happy to be
human.
At times though I think that a picture is too silent.
I often have poems that accompany my images, to help
express the image. Likewise the poem's description can't
be confused with something if there is a picture of
it.
The words and scribbles of language I have conjured
up have been organized on this site by the types of
writing. Fiction is the category
by which there are stories: Short fiction, Long fiction,
and Other Fiction.
Prose is a category that houses essays and spouts
of opinions about things.
Poetry is the category with
the most content. As the images are sorted by series,
the poems are similarly divided. Red
Hook, my favorite spirit, also represents some of
my favorite poems. Blue
Moon, shelters the poems that speak about nature
and feelings that align with a Blue Moon. Green
Party are poems about my political inflictions.
Yellow Pages are poems
that are actual events in my life that are there to
remind me of them. So, go read them! There are commentary
forms for each one-tell me what you think. |
